PROJECT BACKGROUND

Cilliers and Reine Malan appointed Fourie | Architecture + Urban Design to prepare a design that transforms a historical Farm Stead in Centurion into a 35 key Boutique Hotel with a Wedding and Conference Venue.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The project focused on retaining the historical character of the house without altering the historical part. The concept for adding large halls to the house was to design the halls as though they were stables that were converted.
The success of the Hotel and Venue is largely due to the unique atmosphere created by building complex as a whole with both the old historical parts and the newer additions with modern elements.
Klein Kaap yearly hosts a National Film Festival as well as a National Craft Gin Festival.
