Fourie | Architecture + Urban Design is a small multi-disciplinary design-based practice with more than 20 years experience stretching across North America, Europe, Asia and Africa in projects ranging from research, architecture, urban design, master planning, landscape architecture, hotel, retail, office, residential & mixed-use.

We attribute our success on the way we view the projects and the built environment as one integrated whole. Even though a building, project, neighbourhood or city involves many disciplines, we believe that when these fields are addressed in isolation something valuable goes lost not only in the spirit of the project but also the opportunities it presents. In order to achieve this, we have built up a network of partnerships with other offices and disciplines that share this view and our relentless pursuit of excellence. Therefore we work very closely with allied consultants (or other consultants if the client prefers) and project partners to ensure that the professional team operates as a singular unit seamlessly integrating these different approaches in order to balance the final solution to not only perform financially, structurally, aesthetically, environmentally but also to ultimately build better places that uplift the lives of users and visitors. In order to achieve this, we only employ seasoned professionals with a reputation for innovation and excellence with whom we’ve built up long-standing proven and tested relationships.
